Maari Kallberg (b.1970) is a contemporary folk singer specialized in the yoik tradition of the Vienna Karelia region. She has worked extensively in the field of folk music as a performer, researcher and a teacher. Kallberg received the PhD in Music in the year 2007. The dissertation ”Laulumatkoja Vienan Karjalaan” included series of concerts, publication and recording ”Joikuja Karjalasta”.
